The upper rooms in the annex, one street below, have wooden floors with wide gaps that collect dust. They could use a vacuum now and then. The air conditioner filter and cooling coil were clogged with dust and possibly dust mites, which stopped the air from cooling properly. I had to use a brush from my shaving kit to clear the coil, and after that it worked wonderfully. Rooms with west-facing walls get afternoon sun all day, turning them into greenhouses. The inside walls get quite warm and take a long time to cool down. Painting them or attaching insulated sandwich panels to the exterior, with foam between the sheets, could help reduce the heat.

Good afternoon. I stayed at the pousada with a group, and the service from the manager Lia was awful from the very start. She treated us very badly and wasn’t cordial at all. A manager should treat the public well and like their job. Zero for her. The pousada itself was good, and the rooms were clean.

I love this pousada, and the location is very convenient. The room is good, and the shower gets nice and hot. Breakfast is simple but really tasty, especially the divine cakes. Dnª Lia’s service is impeccable. Whenever I’m back in town and can’t get a reservation, I stop by to give her a kiss.

The pousada has a main wing and an annex across the street, with reception and breakfast in separate places. One of the reception employees is very unwilling to help.
