The town is great, and Felipe was an incredible host. We had a delightful stay, and everything felt perfect for us. The place isn't right in the centre, which makes it a bit more peaceful. Thanks, Felipe! After four months travelling around South America, this mattress was one of the best we've slept on, definitely in our top three 😁

We spent a week here with friends and would definitely return. Lira Praieira is comfortable, clean, and really cozy. You can tell a lot of work and love has gone into the hostel/pousada. Felipe is an amazing host, from making breakfast to being a great guide around town. He made our holiday much easier and more fun.

We originally planned three nights in Paraty and ended up staying five at Lira Praieira. The walk to the city centre takes about 15 minutes. It's safe, and along the way you get to see Brazilian life outside the tourist centre and discover more than just the historic area. The bus stop is a two-minute walk away, with buses to beaches around Paraty. The pousada is clean and cozy, and Felipe is friendly and knows a lot about the area. He also knows Brazilian music, so ask him if you'd like to discover some. Breakfast was delicious and homemade, with fresh fruit, juice, bread, and cakes. We've travelled a lot and never had breakfasts like these. There's plenty more to say, but book and see for yourself!

Such a lovely atmosphere, with a kind host and a great breakfast. The location is good, the sheets were clean and smelled really fresh, and they gave us great tips for travelling around Paraty. Definitely one of the best hostels I've stayed in. I'll be back ☀️ Thank you so much.
