I couldn’t make my booked dates because I lost my job, even though I’d already paid a deposit for the nights. I let the inn know ahead of time, but they only let me use that payment for five months. When I was still having a hard time after that, I asked to reschedule and they wouldn’t agree. I found the policy short on flexibility and empathy, especially given the circumstances. A more humane approach makes a real difference in hospitality.

We arrived on a Tuesday, but there were no rooms available. The gentleman who helped us was so kind that he called a few other places to check whether they were taking guests. He later spotted us around town and asked if everything had worked out. If he’s that helpful to people who aren’t staying there, I can only imagine how he treats his guests.

The staff were really attentive and polite, and the service was excellent. Breakfast was tasty and there was plenty of it.

The room was spotless, and breakfast was delicious. The inn has such a welcoming feel, with charming decor, and the owners and staff were attentive and helpful from the moment I booked. We loved spending the weekend there.

The location was great, and there were lots of cozy little spots around the inn to relax and enjoy the quiet. I was welcomed so warmly that I felt at home. Breakfast had so many treats, especially the bolinho de chuva and lemon cake. It was one of the best stays I’ve had, with a special place and special people.
