Pousada Recanto do João de Barro

The owners are very helpful, and the inn is especially well located for anyone who rides a road bike or MTB. Our room was spacious, clean, and tidy, with good beds and recent facilities. There’s a mini fridge where you can bring whatever you like without a corkage fee. Breakfast was excellent: fruit, cakes, bread, real butter, hot milk and coffee, and freshly made orange juice. The atmosphere was lovely too.

Sandra’s service stood out. The place is pleasant and quiet, with a good-sized pool and very clean rooms. It’s close to town if you’re going by car, and parking was adequate. Breakfast was plentiful, and they also offer complimentary coffee and cake in the afternoon. There’s no air conditioning yet, though two fans are provided in each room. If the weather is nice, you don’t really need it.

Jorge and Sandra keep the inn very well cared for, with help from Marcilene. The rooms and outdoor areas were spotless, and the dining room was cozy with delicious coffee. Everything worked well, and there’s plenty of parking. It’s well situated and a peaceful place to relax and feel good. Whenever we can, we come here to rest body and soul.

We loved it here, and the owners, Sandra and Jorge, made the place feel so welcoming. It’s peaceful and cozy, and waking up to the birds singing was lovely. Breakfast was excellent. Walking along the nearby streets felt restorative. My family and I had a great time.
