The birthday cake was delicious, and the staff even sang to my wife when they brought it. That was one of the moments that made this stay feel special. People here kept finding ways to help us, and after only a few days some staff already recognized us and helped us get where we wanted to go. The food was excellent, especially at Japi restaurant. The resort feels tucked into the forest even though it isn't far from Sao Paulo. I speak very little Portuguese, but that wasn't a problem since things are also available in English and most staff speak some. Our room was great, with a comfortable king bed and all the expected comforts, including a huge flat screen TV. Between the indoor and outdoor pools, fitness center, lake hammocks, nature trail, bowling alley, billiards, volleyball, soccer fields, and tennis courts, there was plenty to do. I may have missed something. The bowling alley right on the property was a first for me. I came to celebrate my wife's birthday, and as a Lifetime Diamond Hilton member and seasoned traveler, I can't recall a hotel going so far to look after us, from meals and activities to the room. My wife is Brazilian, which I know makes being here easier for us, but I think anyone would enjoy it. It seems great for families, and the conference and meeting facilities also have me thinking about bringing key employees from the United States for a retreat. A five star experience.

The outdoor paths have lots of stairs and changes in level, so getting around could be hard for anyone with mobility restrictions. For parents, though, there's plenty to keep the kids busy while you relax with coffee, wine, or a signature cocktail. We came for a weekend away to celebrate our 10th anniversary. Nature blends into the hotel design, and the place feels upscale but still cosy. The rooms are excellent, and the food is top quality.

The gym needs attention soon. There's no air conditioning, it's right beside the thermal pool, and the treadmills need some work. The rest of the hotel was excellent for both a stay and business events, with brand new accommodations, a delicious breakfast, and a lovely setting with fantastic views.

The restaurant was just okay, and there were a few staff mistakes, though everyone was courteous. The bed and lovely linens were really comfortable. There's a tropical forest on the grounds, plus a heated indoor pool, tennis court, and bowling, which was a nice surprise. We recommend it for couples, groups, and families with small children. Just know the hotel also hosts corporate events.

The rooms were spotless and beautifully designed, and the staff were some of the nicest I've come across. It's a little far from the airport, and there's not much you can walk to nearby. Still, the city center is close enough for a pleasant afternoon at the local market.
