There are LOTS of mosquitoes in this area, so bring repellent and insect spray. My sister didn’t spray her room and woke up with a lot of bites. We sprayed ours about 30 minutes before bed each night, waited before going in, then kept the door closed until morning. That worked for us. The place itself is peaceful, breezy, and feels close to the beach and nature. It’s near everything, and the owners are extremely helpful. The chalets have good mattresses, air conditioning, a hammock, and a small outdoor kitchen. There’s an excellent beach-and-nature-themed bar and restaurant right around the corner. Out the back, a small shop sells amazing pure açaí. They even blended some for me, since there’s no blender at the pousada. I highly recommend staying here and would come back without a second thought.

You can get around on foot from this pousada. It’s very close to the main square, the beach, the market, and pretty much everything you need. Just keep in mind that breakfast isn’t provided. The kitchen was dirty when we arrived and has few utensils, which makes cooking a bit difficult. Cleaning could be better too: the broom and floor squeegee were badly worn and not really usable. Also, sound systems aren’t allowed on the property.

The place is beautiful and peaceful, and everything was clean, tidy, and cozy. We had a wonderful stay, with great service close to the beach. Paulo Diniz was especially attentive to us, the service was fantastic. I recommend chalé Beach.

We stayed nine nights at Chalé Beach Prea and would happily return. The place is wonderfully quiet at night, with no noise at all, and it’s lovely to wait for the wind in the hammocks beneath the coconut palms. The location is great, just steps from the beach and town center. You can leave your kiteboarding gear on the private terrace outside your room, and there’s a hose to rinse it off. The owners are incredibly kind, and breakfast is delicious and plentiful. Marie and Thomas

We loved the kind hosts and the cozy apartments, with hammocks on the terrace and shade from the coconut palms. It’s a lovely place to unwind between kitesurfing sessions. Chalé Beach Preá is ideally placed on a quiet side street, only steps from the beach and town center. I highly recommend it.
