Breakfast was a highlight, with plenty of breads, jams, and cakes made at the inn. The “pão da vovó” was especially good, and the scrambled egg, made to order in the kitchen, was delicious and perfectly seasoned. There were fresh fruits and lactose-free milk too. I also ordered a pizza for dinner. The crust was just right and the ingredients were tasty and good quality. My room was very comfortable, with working air conditioning, a spotless bathroom, a spacious shower stall, a well-kept minibar, and a fireplace with wood ready to use. The bed linens and towels were clean, neatly arranged, and smelled nice. Pousada Girassóis is about 20 minutes from the center, in a quiet area that’s great for resting. The pool was a good size for cooling off on warmer days, and the well-kept grounds have trimmed grass and a lake where you can enjoy some time, including fishing. The staff were very helpful and attentive, and the two resident cats add a special touch to the place.

This was our second visit, and we’ll definitely return. We stayed for four days in June 2025 and arrived around 5 pm. The administrator, Sr. Mauro, greeted us, and by 7:30 we were enjoying delicious soups in the on-site restaurant. Breakfast was generous, varied, and tasty each morning, with breads, cakes, and jams made at the inn. The fresh cheese was fantastic, and several guests wanted to know where to buy it. The staff are friendly and very helpful, and everything is attractive and well cared for, including the two sociable cats. The rooms have hot and cold air conditioning, which really helped warm things up on the very cold winter nights.
