Chalé na Montanha

The fresh breads and cakes at breakfast were a highlight, and the owners made sure we felt looked after throughout our stay. We had a great time at Chale na Montanha and were welcomed so warmly. Highly recommend!

We met Eduardo and Luci by chance on a street in Paraty one late afternoon, while looking for somewhere to stamp our Estrada Real passport. They invited us to spend a few days at their mountain retreat, and two weeks later we were all around the table enjoying pizzas they had made. We were traveling around Brazil from Portugal in a 4x4 camper, so it was a lovely invitation to accept. The setting and conversations were wonderful, and the chalet was spotless, very well equipped, and had everything we needed. We’ll certainly return on another trip to Brazil.

My family and I are grateful for the warm welcome and for how well they care for this place. The couple were so kind and welcoming. With the pure air and a sky unlike any I’d seen, it felt like catching a glimpse of God and his wonders. We’ll be back soon.

Everything here felt like a thousand out of a thousand, from the spotless place to the wonderful breakfast and especially the delicious pizza. Luci and Eduardo’s hospitality made our stay even more special. The quiet, scenery, natural surroundings, and lovely energy made it feel almost magical. We’ll miss it.
