We had a smooth, easy stay at Lancaster Hotel. The room was excellent for the price, 155 BRL for a twin, with a clean bathroom, hot shower, comfortable beds, and plenty of space. The decor felt a little dated, but it didn’t affect our experience. For a 4-star hotel at that price, it’s an absolute steal. The location in central Curitiba made getting around easy. We appreciated the flexible midday checkout and being able to leave our luggage at reception for the whole day after checking out. The keycard door system was a nice modern touch. Check-in was quick and efficient, and they gave us lots of useful information right away. The concierge was super helpful and spoke excellent English. He was honestly amazing, and I wish I’d gotten his name so I could give him the recognition he deserves. Would I stay again? Absolutely. For the price, location, service, and comfort, this hotel was outstanding. Look no further if you’re visiting Curitiba. A deserved 5-star stay.

The shower head and water line felt like they were working as they did 50 or more years ago. The room smelled moldy, the sheets were only kind of clean, the old AC unit didn’t seem cleaned or disinfected, and there was a visible line of mold on the curtains. It’s an old hotel with old furniture, and I wouldn’t recommend it. Whatever the room costs, hygiene and cleanliness should be the bare minimum.
