Hotel Sinhá Moça

Just average.

Great!

We loved the place and this was already our third time there. We stayed in a room overlooking the beautiful pool. The service was attentive and friendly, the prices fair, and I felt welcome and comfortable throughout. The room bedding did need attention, though. The sheets hadn’t been changed, there was hair and dirt on the pillows, and the towels were damp and had foot marks. It looked like they’d just stretched out the bedding the previous guest used. That didn’t disrupt our stay because we always bring our own bed and bath linens when we travel. We’d still recommend it and come back.

On our way back from Bahia to São Paulo, we took the route through Diamantina and decided to stay the night. This was the worst lodging experience. They put us in what they call a room, but it was more like a basement. It smelled strongly of mildew, the bathroom pipes made a lot of noise at night, and a small window had a broken latch and looked out onto a creepy, dark corridor.
