The mattress was wonderful, and the old solid-wood furniture has a lot of character. We were well looked after, and next time we’ll stay in the same place.

A lovely place, really close to the market. Everything was nice and clean, and the decor captures the feel of Diamantina perfectly.

The online check-in was the best part, and the clean, tidy rooms made the stay easy. I felt like I’d stepped into Diamantina in 1700. If I come back to town, I’ll definitely stay at casarão 53 again. Highly recommend it.

The casarão is beautiful and very clean and comfortable, and I was welcomed warmly. Its location is excellent, close to bakeries and restaurants, and a great base for enjoying the city’s historic center.

You can walk to the historic center from this pousada. It has old furniture, no parking, and there’s no breakfast, though we found a nearby bakery with great prices. The rate was 130,00 for a couple per night, paid by Pix. There’s a mini-fridge and fan in the room. Some rooms have windows facing the side street, where you can leave the car. There’s no reception when you leave, so you drop the key in the mailbox. I recommend it.
