Really great.

The food is always delicious and there’s plenty of it, so you won’t go hungry. The staff are friendly and helpful, and make you feel at home. I first found the inn through a Google search years ago, went to check it out, and it became one of my best experiences in all of ES. Since then, I’ve stayed several times whenever I want a quiet getaway. It’s a wonderful place to be close to nature and enjoy the peace, and the waterfall is a spectacle all on its own. The rooms are excellent, clean, and have fresh-smelling, top-quality linens. The bed is soft and comfortable, and the pillows are great too. The owners, Renato and his son Lucas, are so attentive, caring, and polite. You won’t find that kind of attention anywhere else in ES. It’s a place you can fall in love with. P.S. They don’t accept children for safety reasons, as I was told, and that seemed quite reasonable. I think it may be pet-friendly, but I’m not sure, so check first.

Lucas, Sr. Renato’s son and the owner’s host, has such a soft, calm voice that you start to feel at peace and don’t want to go home. I miss everything and everyone there. The place is a nature retreat, with 37 natural pools and a stunning waterfall. Sr. Renato planted practically all the vegetation. We stayed in the ipê amarelo and vinhático rooms, which were very comfortable, with heated pools and whirlpool tubs, air conditioning, and super comfortable king beds. There are walking paths through the greenery and natural pools, plus a pool for all the guests. Indoors, there’s another pool with a whirlpool and both dry and steam saunas. The setting feels very family-oriented. The breakfast is wonderful, and so are all the other meals. The staff are polite, friendly, and helpful. Sending a big hug, see you soon.

The main drawback was the mosquitoes and biting flies, especially late in the afternoon. That makes sense given all the greenery, and repellent does the job. Otherwise, this is a cozy, pleasant place that’s extremely well cared for and makes you feel at home. The inn has a lovely waterfall just steps from the main areas, and it’s lit at night, which makes it even more beautiful. If you enjoy photography, you’re pretty much guaranteed great pictures. There are also a pool, sauna, and movie room, and the extensive green areas are gorgeous. The breakfast is very good, and dinner is a great food experience. It’s half-board, with a starter, main course, and dessert included. They also offer complimentary coffee and cake in the afternoon. The filet mignon with roti sauce and banana and bacon risotto sounds especially mouthwatering. The prime suites have a wonderful small pool. The staff are attentive, and Lucas deserves every bit of praise for his fantastic service and care.
