Pousada Porto Escurinha

A simple, clean, conventional inn, and there’s usually a room available. Still, call ahead to check for a vacancy if you’re coming in December or January, or during Carnival, when Massarandupió is busiest. There’s parking inside.

It’s close to the beach and in a great location. There’s room for only a few cars, so book ahead. It’s a peaceful, quiet place to spend the night, especially for the price, and they provide a small breakfast.

It’s a simple but very cozy place, and senhor Zuza is wonderfully hospitable. Breakfast is especially generous. I recommend it to anyone who hasn’t been.

The service was great, and the rooms were tidy and cozy. Its good location also meant I could make the most of my trip.
