The staff were lazy and had trouble understanding what I was asking. I called the pousada because the internet signal was bad, but no one picked up. They also seemed unable to understand that an individual room is for one person. Then someone hung up and stopped taking my calls. Either they’re making plenty of money or they’re in the wrong line of work. There’s just no rivalry.

The only good thing was the Wi-Fi. There are just two room options, and the TV only gets five over-the-air channels, with poor reception and no remote. Except for the double room, the bathroom is outside the room. Showers come with rules: no more than 10 minutes, and you can’t dry off outside the stall. The toilet seat was tied on with wire, too, and there’s no breakfast.

The place could have been a great lodging option, but the staff were so uncommunicative. The pillow they gave me smelled awful, so I had to ask for another. I also needed to iron a shirt, but they didn’t have an iron I could borrow. I wasn’t going to complain, but when I asked about checkout, an employee said, “You can leave, it’s paid already?” I paid R$ 70,00 for one night, and it wasn’t worth it.
