The location worked really well for us. The road to Villa Noronha is paved, and the yard is packed dirt, but it never caused trouble or got us dirty, even when it rained. Vila dos Remédios is about a 10-minute walk away, and Barracão de Bebidas, a small market where we got drinks and a few other things at good prices for the island, is very close. The rooms were cozy, with an extremely comfortable bed and high quality linens. They were cleaned daily, always impeccably, and the air conditioning worked perfectly. The breakfast was simple but delicious and kept us going through the morning: fruit every day, always papaya, a hot snack, cuscuz, scrambled eggs, juice made with local fruit, little cakes, tapioca, and black coffee. The women looking after the pousada were so caring and attentive, especially Lúcia, Sil, and Moana. It’s a simple place, but for the price it offers comfort and a warm welcome. We chose to save on lodging without giving up comfort or breakfast, and that suited us perfectly. If you’re looking for luxury in Noronha, you have to pay for it. It’s also good to remember that everything reaches the island by boat, even market and maintenance supplies, so a little understanding about structural details is reasonable. We’d absolutely come back and recommend it to anyone looking for good value, comfort, cleanliness, and a welcoming stay in Noronha.

We spent a week here, since Noronha is a place for enjoying the scenery and spending time in a guesthouse pool isn’t really the point. The rooms are simple but very comfortable, and breakfast is no-frills but has what you need to start the day well fed. The person in charge has wonderful energy and is always willing to help.
