EcoCharme Pousada Netuno

There are lots of birds around this residential area, including roosters, hens, and little chicks. If you like that sort of thing, it gives the place a really pleasant feel. The pousada itself is good value, in a quiet, safe, cozy area, with several shops nearby. Breakfast is generous and very good, and the afternoon tea is a nice extra. Nilma gave us a lovely first impression at reception, and she and the other staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. A couple of things could use attention: the room had poor airflow since neither the door nor window could be opened to let air circulate, and the mattress in room 7 was badly lumpy. It seemed to have reached the end of its useful life.

The room and bathroom were very good, and the pousada is close to the center and beach. It’s simple but charming, with kind, professional staff, a tasty breakfast, and good afternoon tea. Jô makes the best tapioca I’ve ever had, which she calls tapioca rendada. The entrance garden and reception could use more care, which would really improve the place. It’s good value for money.

We had a great stay. The pousada has a cozy farmhouse style, and the room was comfortable with air conditioning. Jô’s breakfast was a highlight. She’s warm and attentive, full of good stories and laughs, and makes the best tapioca. The afternoon coffee was another lovely little treat. It’s not in Vila dos Remédios, but you can get there on foot, by bus, or by taxi. There are good restaurants nearby, including Cacimba, Varanda, and Meu quintal, which has delicious food and drinks at the best prices, so it’s great value. Two markets are close by as well. Ana Paula greeted us warmly on our first day and explained all about the area. Thank you!

We had a wonderful stay and got a warm welcome from Naira and Jô, who were both so lovely. Jô’s tapioca at breakfast was perfect, and after our outings we’d come back to find the room spotless thanks to Naira. The pousada is great value, and the women there are fantastic!
