Amanda was our lifesaver when we arrived, greeting us with great energy, helping across the language barrier, sorting out logistics, and giving us useful ideas for tours, food, and activities. She was amazing. Neide, Sandra, and Josi also made sure we had a nice breakfast each day, including Brazilian foods, and kept our room clean and stocked with essentials. Jao, the on site handyman, was always working on improvements around the grounds, though we didn’t need to ask him for anything. It’s a beautiful place with great staff, and it met my expectations.

The care for guests was clear right from the welcome at the pousada gate. It’s a simple, clean, safe, and very cozy place, with an unusually good team. Highly recommended. If we can, we’ll be back. Thanks for everything, and congratulations on the service!

The pousada is simple, but every detail is handled with care. We really enjoyed our stay and only wish we’d had more days. The spaces are lovely, there’s greenery all around and hammocks across the patio, and the bathtub comes with bath oil and salts. The towels were great and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful, and everyone serving us was kind and willing to help. We were welcomed warmly and felt well looked after. We’d definitely return and recommend Pousada Alquimista. GABRIEL E LOURDES

We were very happy with our stay. The place is clean and pleasant, and everything in this simple pousada is arranged with care. The welcome was warm, breakfast tasty and generous, and the staff attentive and kind. There’s also a bathtub with oils and bath salts.

A peaceful place close to Vila dos Remédios, and we were welcomed so warmly at Pousada Alquimista. Breakfast was made with care each day, and the rooms were impeccably clean. The bed and showers were great too. I highly recommend it.
