Pousada Casa Berna

The pousada feels magical in every little corner, with a simple, cozy atmosphere. We stayed in the Sancho suite and loved the bed and the warm hospitality. Breakfast was delicious, and being right in the center of Noronha was perfect. It went beyond what we expected, I definitely recommend it.

Gregory was wonderful, welcoming us with lots of care and explaining the area as soon as we arrived. The pousada is simple but very cozy, leafy, and clearly looked after with care. Its location is great for walking to the beaches, and there are restaurants, a pharmacy, a market, and a little square with food stalls right across the way every night. I’d happily stay here again. We were a couple and really enjoyed our stay from November 23 to 27, 2024. The pousada is right by Caixa lottery outlet and the central square, close to Praia do Cachorro, so the location worked perfectly. Around the square we found good restaurants, including mãezinha and Maré, which has more refined food and was very tasty. There’s also a market on the corner of the square, on the dirt road, under new management. We found good prices there, including beer cans and Heineken longnecks for about R$10 and R$11, and went back several times. Our room was new and spacious, with a minibar, a good bathroom and shower, strong air conditioning, and comfortable beds. Breakfast was fresh and delicious every morning, with around 12 different items such as fruit, breads, and savory snacks. Gregory and his employee made us feel at home. He’s always working on improvements around the pousada. The stay was great value, I have no complaints, only praise, and would choose this accommodation again if we return to Noronha.

Getting around was easy, which helped us enjoy the trip more. Beaches, restaurants, shops, markets, and taxis were all nearby. The room was comfortable, the location ideal, and breakfast was fresh and had plenty of options.
