People laugh when you ask if Noronha can be cheap, but then you meet Marcia and her Estaçao. Welcome to the Estaçao family. You'll have to make some compromises, like sharing a very small room, but if you're open minded, you won't regret staying here. The atmosphere is amazing if you bring your own 'Alegria' too. Ask about the "NORONHÃO EM CHAMAS 🔥" WhatsApp group 🤣🤣🤣

The owners are attentive and very helpful. There are three shared areas to sit and hang out, and the place stays quiet, with no parties or loud music. The neighborhood is quiet too. I stayed in the spacious, comfortable female dorm, which has its bathroom outside; the male dorm is upstairs on the second floor. The well-equipped kitchen is also on that floor. There's bottled water at no extra charge and clotheslines. Lockers can be rented for 25 reais per day. Towels aren't provided, but bath towels are available to rent for 6 reais per stay. There aren't TVs in the common areas or in all the rooms.
