Pousada do Lopes

It's a simple, clean, cozy inn near Vila dos Remédios, the island's urban center. There's no pool, but the rooms have an electric shower, hair dryer, minibar, and dresser. Breakfast is simple but tasty and nicely prepared. Marcia Neves was especially caring and warm, always happy to talk about the area or help with anything we needed.

I cancelled for free because of the pandemic back in February 2021, and I'm still waiting for the refund. I was told it could take until the end of 2022, even though they charged me in the first month after I made the reservation in 2020. I tried to move the booking to another date, but the price was double. Unfortunately, everyone was affected, and there needs to be more consideration and respect for us.

I stayed there in 2007. It was simpler then, but very cozy, and I was welcomed so warmly. I hope you're all doing well, and I hope Márcia is still there. She loved the show Mais Você and Louro José, and used to copy recipes just like I did. We're grieving together; he'll never really be gone. I'll be back soon. The inn is very simple, but it's good. The location is excellent, the breakfast is good, and the bed was comfortable with air conditioning. The bathroom could use a renovation, though I don't know if the other places in FN are like that too.
