Pousada Magia

There are very good restaurants just a few minutes away on foot. Downtown takes a little longer, about a 15 minute walk. The hosts were friendly and helpful, and it’s a great pousada for a stay in Fernando de Noronha. We’d come back next time!

Vila do Trinta puts this place between Vila dos Remedios and the Port, with a bakery, supermarket and liquor store all within about a five minute walk. There are also plenty of restaurants nearby in Vila dos Remedios, and Noronha Natural is right next door. We ate at pricier spots too, but this one beat them for me. Try the shrimp hamburger. The people are friendly and relaxed, and Ze is ready to help with whatever you need. In the morning he serves hot coffee, pão de queijo, bread, tapioca with cheese and ham, omelettes, scrambled eggs, fresh fruit, several juices and cake. He also handles property maintenance. The rooms are clean and tidy, with spacious, comfortable beds, air conditioning and a big LCD TV with more channels than you might need on a remote island. Each room has its own bench and hammock for relaxing. Bring beach towels, since they aren’t provided, and plenty of bug repellent. It’s a charming place to experience the island in local style.

The breakfast was good, with fruit, cake, bread, juice, tapioca and eggs, and the women working there were so nice. They welcomed me warmly and did their best to help, which made me feel at home. It’s a simple but charming inn in a great location, with a very comfortable bed, air conditioning, Wi-Fi and cable TV. The bathroom shower space is a bit tight, but it wasn’t really a problem, and the shower and view were both good. Great value, I recommend it!

Zé makes the excellent, varied breakfast, including what I thought was Noronha’s best tapioca, prepared fresh. He and Elaina were attentive and helpful, always giving accurate tips and directions. The room was spacious and comfortable, with excellent cleanliness and a good electric shower. Such a lovely inn, I recommend it!
