Pousada Marina

Neide was the highlight for us. She was so thoughtful, polite, and helpful, and put a lot of care into a wonderful breakfast. The pousada is simple but comfortable and has plenty of potential. It’s well placed, just a few minutes’ walk from Vila dos Remédios and near shops, markets, and restaurants. We stayed for 6 days, and our room was cleaned and tidied only once. Towels were changed every 3 days. That wasn’t a big issue since there were drying lines and the warm weather helped, but at a beach destination, more frequent cleaning and room upkeep would be ideal. The shower and bathroom tap also need attention. The water came out erratically, and the tap ended up soaking the bathroom. With a few fixes, this place could be much better.

Neide was the bright spot of the stay. She was always trying to help, and it was a pleasure to meet such a wonderful person. The shower didn’t work properly, and I only managed to get a hot shower on one day. What bothered me most was that the pousada said it would be fixed but never did it. They could have been honest when I arrived and told me the shower wasn’t working. There were a few other minor issues, too. If I’d known beforehand, I probably would have chosen somewhere else. I won’t return or recommend this pousada.

Neide welcomed us warmly and kept our room clean every day. She made us fresh scrambled eggs and tapiocas each morning, too. The room was very comfortable, and the pousada is well located, within walking distance of Vila dos Remédios. Great value for money, and I recommend it.

The location is convenient, very close to the beaches of Cachorro, Meio, and Conceição. Neide, who takes care of breakfast, was wonderful, always attentive and welcoming, and the breakfast itself was lovely. Service before, during, and after the stay was fantastic. When I come back to Fernando de Noronha, I have no doubt I’ll stay at Pousada Marina again.
