Pousada Solar Do Trinta

We didn’t stay at the pousada, but stopped in several times to eat at “Tapioca lá em Casa.” The standout was Sr Carlos’s famous “suco de coco”: he blends the water and flesh from the same fresh coconut, and it comes out delicious and refreshing. We also tried the stuffed tapiocas, especially the anchovy, country chicken with queijo qualho, and fresh coconut with condensed milk. He and his wife use quality ingredients, many from their own garden, as well as local products like free-range eggs. They also have other juices, including Caja. Sr Carlos always had a good story to share, and we felt very welcome. He only uses coconuts picked on the island. Noronha’s volcanic soil has lots of nutrients, which makes the coconuts taste better there, in my view. The prices are very reasonable, too. We recommend stopping by.
