For the price, I expected much better. The facilities felt outdated, the jacuzzi and pool weren’t well maintained or clean, and things were disorganized when we arrived. We’d asked in advance for restaurant reservations, but those weren’t handled properly. Very disappointing.

It’s a beautiful place, but the service was terrible. The staff seemed to ignore our requests on purpose. Be prepared to repeat the same thing 15 times if you come here.

The location and the lovely view from the property are the only reasons I’m giving it 2 stars. The way the place is run was a nightmare. We had no hot water for the first 2 days, and the staff were extremely arrogant and disrespectful. After I spent all day asking for a towel, they called me annoying. For the first 2 days, the pool was too nasty to swim in, with things growing at the bottom. It was still like that even after they cleaned it, as the attached picture shows. Breakfast was hostel-level, and honestly, I think any other place on the island has better food. I’ve visited this island 5 times, and this stay made me not want to return.

The drinks and service were good, and the caipirinhas and ceviche were okay, but the food was terrible: heavy and greasy. We were disappointed, especially since the manager recommended the two house favorites, shrimp risotto and tuna with rice. The risotto was loaded with oil and cheese, and even had pineapples. Having lived in Italy, I’d say cheese in seafood risotto is strictly forbidden: cheese and fish never go together. The tuna wasn’t good either, and came with fried onion rings, which was so weird. The rice was awful too. I don’t understand the rating for triboju restaurant. It shouldn’t be graded 4.6 or called a gastronomic restaurant.

The rooms were impeccable, and the staff were attentive. Everything felt top-notch and truly exceptional. If you appreciate luxury and attention to detail, this is a must-visit.
