Pousada Sandbeach

The pool was lovely for a swim, and the property is really beautiful. It’s right across from the beach, with a view from the pool area, and they accept pets too. Our room was clean and organized, and the staff were very polite and friendly. Breakfast was well served and neatly arranged. I’d definitely recommend staying here.

The location and room were good. Breakfast was the letdown: there wasn’t much variety, and when a large group was staying during my weekend visit, they weren’t ready for the extra guests. There was a line, and by the time I got in, many items had run out and weren’t replenished.

We’ve stayed here twice and have had great service both times. On our first visit we brought our pet, who was treated very well. The inn has clear signs explaining the rules for pet owners so they don’t make other guests uncomfortable. This last time we came with our 9-month-old baby, and the staff made being away from home much easier for us. Breakfast is open to the public. On our weekday visit it wasn’t busy, while the weekend visit was much fuller, but they kept replenishing the food whenever needed. I recommend the inn and am sure we’ll be back.

The master room faces the street, so it gets very noisy at night, and you can hear the other guests in their rooms. Breakfast doesn’t start until 8, which feels late for a beach town, and the choices were limited. All the fruit was spoiled. We arrived 50 minutes before check-in and asked if we could go in since the room had already been cleaned and was ready, but they said they’d have to charge us half a day. It felt very expensive for what was offered.
