Gentil Hotel

It fell short of what I expected.

The location was easily the best part, just meters from the beach, restaurants, and more. We were there as a family on vacation in January 2026, and the price was good, but several things could be better. At reception, I expected more hospitality. The room had useful equipment, and the air conditioning and TV both worked well, but it wasn't very clean and we found cockroaches. I'd avoid the first floor. The beds and pillows weren't comfortable. In the bathroom, there was only hand soap, the small towels were more like scrapers than towels, and one shower faucet was faulty.

We had a really good 10-day stay and honestly didn't have any complaints about the staff, who were always incredibly friendly. Breakfast was filling and complete, and if something ran out, they replaced it without any trouble. The location is definitely the best part. One thing they could improve is the towel quality.

The hotel was clean, tidy, and well located, and it offers a lot for an affordable price. Breakfast was generous and varied, with options for different dietary needs and delicious homemade food. The women in the kitchen were incredibly kind. All the other reception staff were excellent and dedicated to helping tourists, though the woman who greeted us on arrival had a bad attitude, didn't show us our room, and didn't understand what we were saying. Fortunately, we only saw her that day. The facilities aren't always convenient: with a lot of rubbish, or if you need hot water, you have to go down to the barbecue area. Still, it was an excellent stay.
