GH Barra da Lagoa

The care and welcome from the staff made a real difference, from the beginning right through to the end. It’s one of those places where you feel at home. I have a child and can say it’s perfect for kids, and very welcoming to pets too 🐾. Whenever I visit Floripa, I stay there and recommend it wholeheartedly. Everything is thoughtful, clean, and organized, the internet is fast, and there’s always a hot shower ready. Breakfast is sold separately, prepared by Mari, and feels like a treat, with lots of variety and everything delicious.

I decided against staying at Pousada after witnessing something extremely unpleasant. The manager shouted and said harsh things to another person who was holding a child, even though I saw no apparent reaction or provocation from that person. It made me concerned about guests’ safety and respect. Since I also have a baby, I didn’t feel comfortable considering a stay there.

The place left a lot to be desired. There’s no room service, and towels are changed only every three days. The electric shower barely dribbled water. Breakfast is served in the same area as the laundry. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone with hygienic habits.

The hostess Mary gave my wife and me a wonderful welcome, and the service was a 10 out of 10. The pousada is cozy, close to the beach, has parking, and offers great value for money. Our room was very clean, and the towels and sheets were nice and bright white. A great place for a Florianópolis vacation, and I’ll definitely be back!
