We had a good-sized room with everything we needed, though the cleaning could have been more thorough. It was clean, just not spotless, and nothing serious enough to put us off. The location is perfect, with a river view from our room and a side view of the sea. Bars, restaurants, and the beach are all close by. Service was outstanding. The receptionist, Eliza I think, was polite, helpful, and accommodating, and the gentleman at reception in the evening was also very polite and helpful.

Maré de Lua is beautiful, carefully maintained, and close to everything. We found it comfortable and peaceful, just right for a family holiday. Michel and Bruno were kind and attentive throughout our stay. We had a wonderful time and would definitely come back.

The inn is conveniently located near the beach, restaurants, and a pizzeria right next door. Our room, 302, had the best view, with a balcony overlooking the sea, but the shower and toilet flush barely had any water pressure. The biggest problem was check-in. I wasn’t told ahead of time that we had to arrive at the time the attendant wanted us there. Our trip was difficult because of traffic and the heavy flow on BR 101. After I insisted several times, we finally arrived and the room was available, as it should have been since we had already paid for two nights.

The value for the price is really good. You just cross the street and you're on the sand, with a lovely view of the sea and mountains. The facilities work well for a beach stay at Praia da Armação. I'd go for a room on the third floor.
