Off Ocean Hostel

There are affordable options at different prices, plus DJ parties sometimes and volleyball matches. The location is good, close to the beach and the north and south. The volunteers are really nice too. One of the best hostels in Floripa, highly recommend :)

The beach itself is gorgeous, but it’s a 30 minute walk along the highway to get there, and there’s no market nearby. The place was overcrowded, with a gross bathroom and bug-infested beds. The bunk beds were rock hard and uncomfortable. Some staff were nice, but others kept rubbing my shoulders in a weird way.

The quiet here and the daily bonfire made it easy to sink into a deeper meditative connection with the nature and magic of Floripa. On Ocean is an amazing experience in nature with lots of cultural exchange. I stayed there and taught dançateria classes. It’s at Moçambique, one of Floripa’s more secluded beaches, where forest and ocean come together like a movie scene.

There were people from all over the world, and the lively crowd and welcoming atmosphere made me feel at home from the first day. The hostel has wonderful energy. It’s close to the beach and surrounded by nature, a great setting to relax, connect, and enjoy special moments. The rooms were clean, the common areas well cared for, and there was always an upbeat group around. An incredible stay, and somewhere I’d love to return to and recommend.
