Pousada dos Sonhos

My family and I were treated politely and helpfully by every employee I met. I can’t think of a single person who treated us badly. A big thank you to everyone who helped my elderly mother with her needs. The facilities were a big part of what I liked: they open early and close at 10 p.m., including the jacuzzi, and you don’t need to book. You just show up and use them if nobody else is there. The beach is lit up, and from my second-floor apartment it took a minute to go down to the first floor, cross the restaurant, and reach the beach. It’s only about a hundred meters away. At checkout, you have to leave the room at 11, but you can put your things in the car and stay on the property all day using the facilities. I’m Brazilian, and I’ve been lucky to experience poverty in the countryside and to travel to London, many countries in Europe, Asia, Taiwan, Japan, Thailand, Australia, and Hawaii. I’m grateful for those travels. Pousada dos Sonhos is a five-star resort. It reminded me of the Marriott resort I stayed at with my family over Chinese New Year, and of a beautiful spa in Indonesia, a country even poorer than Brazil, where we found a lovely resort with our own swimming pool and easy beach access. This was my first time here, and I highly recommend it to foreigners too. We later went to Fazenda do Rosa on the other side of the city. It’s beautiful, but not to my taste. I gave it one star for service, how dirty my cabin was, and the receptionist’s service. Maybe I took politeness for granted, but at Fazenda do Rosa it seemed to be misunderstood as rudeness or asking too much. Pousada dos Sonhos is more my style. Metaphorically, it’s like a Lamborghini, while Fazenda do Rosa is like a 1983 Volkswagen Bug in good condition. Cheers, everyone, and I hope this helps. The service, hospitality, location, and rooms were outstanding. We had a great experience, and the room was awesome. Rachel went out of her way to help us.

The service here is unmatched, and the staff are incredible. After staying at more than 400 Hilton hotels around the world, I was impressed. The rooms are clean, the beds comfortable, and the restaurant is good. It’s also right on the beach in a fantastic location. If you need a hotel in Jurere or the north of the island, book here. Highly recommended.

A lovely spot for breakfast or just spending the day. I haven’t stayed overnight, but I really enjoyed having breakfast by the beach. The cakes were delicious.
