Pousada Moquirido

The beds, pillows, and blankets were comfortable, and the room was clean and in good shape. The staff were lovely and welcoming, especially Simone, Tarik, and Day. Breakfast was the letdown. It was the same food for four days straight, nothing fresh, and when they ran out of French bread on day three, there wasn’t any on day four either. The coffee was the only thing freshly made. The shower head wasn’t great, and the TV had trouble getting channels. We paid 270 per night in the off season for two people, one pet, and a parking space. The owners aren’t much for negotiating, lol. Parking can be tricky depending on how the spaces are arranged. There are restaurants, a laundry, and a gas station nearby, and the roast-meat restaurant next door is really good. I’d recommend it, with some reservations.

We ended up leaving early because we couldn’t get any rest during our short vacation. The sound insulation was awful: we could hear people talking in the rooms, hallway, and reception, and even the neighbor’s snoring came through while I had earplugs in and a pillow over my face. The place was clean, though, and they gave us helpful tips for sightseeing.

We showed up in Florianopolis without a reservation on January 5 and stayed at Posada for 10 days. The owners were so kind, as were Simone and Cristiane at the front desk. It’s just a few meters from the beach, and the rooms are spacious, comfortable, and all have air conditioning. Breakfast was really complete, with coffee and milk, different cakes, bread, cold cuts, fruit, juice, eggs, and bacon. We loved the place. Thanks so much, Posada Moquirido.
