Such a fun place to visit, with free WiFi and breakfast, and a laid-back feel. The bed and breakfast setup is great for relaxing, and there are cool skateboard features too. There’s a kidney-shaped pool for skating, and the staff are really friendly. The artistic atmosphere has a real skateboard culture vibe.

My grandsons and their friends came to this huge, professionally built skate ramp, where the world championship takes place. It’s well known and has a local athlete who has won the WS Championship six times. The owner supervises kids and adults, and everyone is very friendly.

This place is all about the skate park, with a pousada attached. As the saying goes, “It’s not a pousada with a skatepark, but a skatepark with a pousada.” I imagine the accommodation is there for visitors like Tony Hawk and other world title winning skaters who want to spend time in Floripa with the best. They’re producing some of the world’s best skaters, and the surfers here are world champions too. If you run into Rafa and he doesn’t give you any time, I’m guessing that’s why you might feel neglected. The community is one of the most loving and forgiving I’ve experienced anywhere. I’d focus any criticism on how to make that community better. Your criticism is interesting and true, but as I said, the pousada is reserved for world class skaters.

The friendly crew runs two great skateboard courses, a bowl and a flow area, that work for kids and adults. It’s part of skateboard history in Floripa.
