Pousada Pouso do Marujo

The host was a ten out of ten, always attentive and ready to help. When I called, he sorted things out promptly and even let us check in early. The rooms are simple and need a few adjustments, and the electrical maintenance and bedding could use attention too. Still, the rest was great. The beds were good, the room had plenty of space, and the pool was lovely for relaxing after the beach.

I could only stand being here for part of one night. The bedding smelled awful, as if it hadn't been changed, and several cockroaches crawled out of the walls. I left and loaded my car, but the parking space was so small that I had to ask another guest to move at 6:00 AM. I tried knocking at reception about the unsanitary conditions, even though it says it's open 24 hours, but no one answered. Later they messaged me on WhatsApp asking if "everything was alright." I explained how unhappy I was and asked for a refund. The owner stopped replying, and they refused to refund the four nights I didn't stay. I can't recommend this terrible experience to anyone.

Sadly, this was the worst lodging experience of my life. I arrived for work around 7 pm, tired and with no time to find somewhere else, but if I could have, I would've paid for another place without hesitation. The bedding smelled bad, the bathroom was in awful shape, and the shower only worked through three holes and was scalding hot. I had to turn it off and make do with a cold "shower." They didn't provide any soap, not even hand soap. The whole place was moldy, and the pillows were unusable. I used a towel to rest my head, and even that was difficult. It's a shame they don't seem to care about guests. This place should be inspected by the health department or another relevant authority so someone will take action.

The place is simple, nothing fancy, but it was really comfortable and cozy. It has everything included, even a fridge and a great stove. I liked it a lot, and the location in Florianópolis is excellent. I’d recommend it.
