Pousada Vitoria Brilho do Mar

The beach is very close and breakfast was good. But the rooms were full of cockroaches, and the bathroom didn't work and smelled bad. There's no room service, and the price is high for what they offer.

I had a really serious problem with this pousada. I booked and paid on November 17, 2024, for January 4-11, 2025. The day before arrival, I messaged them on WhatsApp to ask when we could get there, and that's when the stress started. They said they'd refund me because they'd given my room to other guests. I'd already driven 530 km and stayed at a hotel in Santa Rosa do Sul, planning to go straight to pousada Vitória brilho do mar the next day. Why didn't they tell me earlier, or at the time I booked? They could simply have said there was no room. I spent money on tolls and fuel, and the whole situation was stressful. It's a disgrace not to honor what was agreed. It's easy to just say you'll return my money when there's no room left!

The location is good, but nearly everything else fell short. They wouldn't provide room service when we asked, and the advertised shared kitchen was always locked when the staff left. The TV only gets SBT. We had to buy a grill grate because theirs was broken, and they had no skewers to lend us. In short, almost nothing in the listing is actually available, and guests get no support beyond breakfast.

The mattress was AMAZING, I slept like a rock. The price is good, though there are some issues. The cakes at breakfast had a strange-looking topping, as if they'd been redone. The bathroom fan is noisy and vents into the room, leaving a bad smell. The owner was lovely to me, but rude to my friends who were staying there. I found that a bit odd.
