Rosemary Dream

Rosemary has a special place in my heart. On my first week there, I mostly kept to myself as a tourist and enjoyed the setting, beach, nature, and cats. When I came back for three months, I connected with the place and its people, and it became a time in my life I'll never forget. I felt at home, met the right people at the right time, and went through a deep personal change. It opened the doors I had been hoping to find. I recommend it to grounded, conscious people who want to slow down and reconnect with themselves. If you want somewhere modern and fun with a touristy feel, Rosemary probably isn't the place for you.

I thought I'd stay at this rosemary for a month, but ended up there for 7. The location is great, and the vibe is even better. There's a well equipped gym, a good coworking space, and comfy common areas. After seven years of traveling, I can say this is my favorite place in the world.

Rosemary made for a wonderful stay. I had a private room in a house shared with three other private rooms, and the kitchen had enough fridge space. The showers had steady hot water and good pressure. Mosquitoes were a nuisance, so repellent and, if possible, a net would help. The facility is beautiful, set on the mountainside, with a short walk to Barra da Lagoa beach and hiking trails to Galheta Beach and Mole beach. The coworking area looks out over the beach and made a peaceful place to focus. I'd return and highly recommend it.

What made this hostel stand out for me was the people, both the employees and guests. Everyone was so nice, and the atmosphere felt perfect. The hostel itself is beautiful, with online work areas, a workout space, weekly yoga classes, a huge kitchen, and comfortable air conditioned rooms. It's the most beautiful hostel I've ever stayed in, and I'll definitely come back!
