Fortaleza VIP Experience - Edificio Landscape

I’m staying in this condominium right now, and it has a bad reputation in Fortaleza. The staff barely look at you because they’re busy on their phones. There are cameras above the apartment entrance door. Because of the place’s reputation, you can book an apartment for four people but still have to send the visitors’ documents to the VIP company, which takes a long time to respond. What’s the point of having reception handle registration if you have to wait for VIP to get back to them? The rules make no sense. They charge a R$ 200 deposit as soon as you arrive, supposedly in case you park in a space for disabled people or older adults. They treat you like you’re stupid. It’s another example of the bad name this condominium has earned in the city. The apartment has no privacy, no blackout curtains, and strands of hair rolling around the room. They put armchairs on the balcony, but you can’t sit there for ten minutes because there are no cushions. For the high price they charge, it feels like you’re paying for the mess caused by other people in the past. I’m completely in favor of security, but people paying so much deserve privacy. A camera right at the entrance of a place used by tourists always makes it feel unsafe. Also, at no point during the booking through booking.com did VIP mention an advance R$ 200 payment for the garage or this ridiculous visitor rule. You lose precious vacation time dealing with this company. This has been my worst experience. It’s my second day here, and I’m dealing with stress caused by a simple lack of clear communication at the time of booking. If I’d known this place would feel more like a prison, I never would have booked it. Rules have to be followed, sure, but taking away the privacy of people on vacation is out of the question!
