The pool area is spacious, with slides and water jets, and it was enough to make for a fun Sunday with my family. There's also a place to hang a hammock, suitable for anyone with a baby, and a wooden playhouse for children. The Hotel Fortaleza Park is open to the public, hosts guests, holds parties on Friday and Saturday nights, and welcomes customers on Sunday mornings to enjoy the pools and the beach just behind it. The place needs renovations and overdue maintenance. The wet ramp has no water jets, the pool water quality was clearly poor, and the bathrooms were very dirty and wet. Some taps and flushes weren't working, and there were leaks too. The food was poorly served: a portion of rice, flour, a very small tilapia with a little potato and one lettuce leaf. The fish tasted bad and seemed possibly spoiled. We asked for a pitcher of orange juice, but there wasn't any, so I chose lime juice, which only arrived near the end of the meal. The place could be inviting if they improved the facilities and food quality.
