The restaurant was the weak spot for lunch and dinner, so I'd eat elsewhere. There are plenty of good places nearby. The hotel itself is a very good choice for families: you can walk along the beach, rent bikes, and enjoy the area. It feels safe and well organized, and every room has a lovely view. There's also a small pool facing the beach. Breakfast was very good. The staff were especially helpful with my son's strict gluten-free diet because of his celiac disease. My only disappointment was the hotel restaurant at those other meals.

The location is excellent, and parking is free if you have a car. But I've tried other hotels too, and even Sonata doesn't feel worth the price. Next time I'll definitely choose an Airbnb or something similar. I was born here, and I'm shocked by the quality of hotels in Fortaleza. This is meant to be one of the best, yet the bed only had a very thin sheet instead of proper covers for the evening. Breakfast was average at best. It feels like the hotel industry here is disappearing.

Fernanda gave my wife and me the best massages we've ever had, anywhere. She's talented, experienced, knowledgeable, and personable, and she really helped the muscle tension melt away. Book your first session early in the stay, since you'll probably want time for more before leaving. The hotel was a great place to stay, with helpful, courteous staff, excellent amenities, good prices, and a great breakfast.

The hotel is very central, so it was practical to get around everywhere by Uber. The staff were kind, and we had a lovely stay. Breakfast was nice, too. Our room had a fantastic view, though the shower wasn't very good and could use some care.
