Kayaking, spending time with the golden retrievers, and meeting the horse made for a wonderful stay. We’d been left without anywhere to stay because of a holiday, so we called on a whim. Even though they were closed, he welcomed us warmly and went out of his way to help. The atmosphere was immaculate, and the hospitality was second to none. Highly recommend it.

I stayed here for work for the second time. Março and Gê are always so welcoming, friendly, and helpful. The place is wonderful, clean, and well organized, and you can try Gê’s handmade bread at breakfast. A thousand points!

Watching the sky, birds, and scenery change from morning to night was a highlight. There are guided routes and activities such as kayaking, Hawaiian canoeing, quad biking, the lookout tower, bread-making sessions, coffee and cake, and picnics. The stay itself was beautiful and comfortable, with a real sense of friendship. Ecopousada Camaleão sits by the Rio Ipiranga at Lagoa Suruaca, between Linhares and São Mateus-ES. Its physical setup is fantastic, decorated with care and great taste to make guests comfortable and help them create memorable moments. There are 12 rooms for up to 36 guests, as well as an auditorium for 80. Marco starts hosting well before check-in, helping guests discover what the region has to offer, from nature and history to food and shopping. He’s also an authority on territorial development projects. His wife, Gê, is elegant in both body and spirit, and works magic in the kitchen and bakery, making naturally fermented artisan breads and other handmade creations. The couple are without doubt the best part of the pousada. They’re masters of hospitality and could easily teach it.

Marco and Geralda, the owners who run the place, were incredibly kind, attentive, and friendly. The location is great, though you do have to walk to the beach. The setting is rustic and attractive, with a pool and a river beside it, and kayaks available. I stayed from 21 to 23/11/2024. It’s an eco-friendly pousada, but that doesn’t mean giving up comfort: the room facilities were great, the bed was very good, and cleanliness was impeccable. An excellent stay. I highly recommend it and hope to return soon.
