We had a terrible experience. While traveling along the Ceará coast in March and April, we decided to visit Pontal de Maceió. We hadn’t booked ahead or checked hotel reviews, and after dark we came across Kicharme. During the night, a bad smell came from the suite bathroom, and the toilet wouldn’t flush properly. I don’t know what caused it. We told reception and were moved to another suite. After going to the beach, we found that the air conditioning there wouldn’t cool the room either. By midnight, we spoke to the receptionist again. She seemed embarrassed and said she didn’t have the keys to the first suite, which were with the manager, or something like that. We could leave our bags and sleep in a suite on another floor. I’d requested a ground-floor room because of my knee, so we had to climb step by step in the middle of the night to a third suite during a two-night stay. The hotel only looks good. There were no other guests, and now we know why: dirty floors and pool, toilets backing up, and air conditioning that didn’t work. I don’t recommend it.

We loved the pool area. It’s peaceful for chatting while the kids play. The service was really special, everyone was kind and took care of what we needed. Our room was clean, tidy, and well cooled, with comfortable beds. Breakfast was complete and tasty, and we could order extra items too. We’ll be back!

The location is incredible, but the stay was really bad. We were a group of ten friends at Kicharme from December 27, 2025, to January 3, 2026. The hotel didn’t have enough staff for the number of guests, especially in the kitchen. Pará, the chef, seemed to be doing everything, even cutting fruit, and everything ran late. There was little organization around keeping breakfast items stocked, replenishing things for breakfast and lunch, and clearing food that had been left out overnight. Cleaning was poor too, including the pool and rooms, and we were short on towels. They need to invest in staff, training, and cleaning.

It was a wonderful stay, with great service and a beautiful, comfortable place that has real charm. The price was accessible without giving up quality or good service. The best!

I spent Carnival here with my family. The hotel was clean, the service from every employee was wonderful, breakfast was great, and lunch was fantastic. Go and see for yourself, you won’t regret it. Many thanks to manager Itamires for being so warm and welcoming. I recommend it, and we’ll certainly return.
