ibis Foz do Iguaçu

A few nice restaurants are nearby, though some can be pretty noisy late at night. The hotel has what you’d expect from Ibis, and the bus stop is just steps away, with buses to Iguazu Falls and the airport.

There are plenty of good restaurants nearby, and the rooms are nice. The hotel has a laundromat and bar, plus inexpensive secure parking. There’s also a taxi stand beside it, and airport transfer costs just 100R$/4 persons.

There are lots of restaurants around, though the hotel is a little far from the main area. The staff were pleasant and friendly, but the bed squeaked.

The other employees were incredibly friendly, but this was easily the worst Ibis I’ve stayed at anywhere. The quality checks seemed nonexistent: there was no body wash, the hairdryer didn’t work, the eggs at breakfast were green underneath and looked so off-putting that nobody took any, and rotten fruit was left on display. The sheets were ripped too, and I have pictures. I can’t recommend the hotel. My air conditioner only got fixed after I’d asked five times and spoke to someone who seemed to be a manager. The person who checked me in acted as if she were doing me a favor, didn’t welcome us as Elite members, and didn’t mention or offer the welcome drink. All five AC requests went to her, and none were resolved. We also had key trouble 13 times. One, two, or all three of our keys stopped working from the first day. Staff said we’d kept them near credit cards or other magnetic items, but there was nothing near them. It was extremely annoying.
