The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and breakfast is included with plenty of choices. I liked the fruit selection, and you can order omelettes from the wait staff or get a tapioca-style omelette at the buffet. Protein choices were mostly hot dog varieties, which seems common in Brazil. The hotel's standout for visiting the falls may be its location: it's right across from the biggest mall in Foz, with lots of food, groceries, everyday goods, and local people around, so it doesn't feel like a tourist-only mall. I did find it odd that there wasn't an iron in the room.

The hotel is a decent option in the lower range of four-star quality. It takes about 20 minutes to walk to the main restaurant street, and the rooms have air conditioning, though the shared corridors get noticeably hot. Breakfast was generally good, but there was no espresso out. That surprised me with so many European guests. You could ask for one, but it cost extra.

The hotel is very conveniently located, with a shopping mall right across the road and several good restaurants nearby. Valet parking was easy to use, and the rooms were clean and spacious. Breakfast had lots of options. I also used the gym, though some machines squeak loudly and need maintenance. Getting to the rooms requires taking a lift, so during busy periods you can end up waiting quite a while. I had a very good stay at JL by Bourbon in Foz do Iguaçu.

Our room was spacious and comfortable, and the staff were polite and cooperative throughout. The JL Hotel by Bourbon is right across from the city's largest shopping mall, which makes the location exceptionally convenient. For what you get, the price is great value. Highly recommended for a stay in Foz do Iguaçu.

We were disappointed on our departure morning: the pool was meant to open at 9:30, but it was closed for cleaning and unavailable until 11. The hotel is very central, right across from a shopping mall, and having both a pool and fitness center is a nice extra. It’s modern, and breakfast was sufficient.
