The bedrooms are nice and spacious, and it was good to see solar panels covering the parking area. Still, the hotel can get very noisy. The main dining room felt like a football stadium, with the crowd and all the football shirts. In the older block we could hear chairs moving in the breakfast room below, and people in the room above us late at night. It seems popular with families. There’s no free water or facecloth in the rooms, and the stairs in the old main block aren’t obvious, so everyone takes the lifts.

We found the service warm and efficient, and there’s plenty to do around the resort, so it’s easy to relax here after a day at the Falls or elsewhere in the region. The thermal pools are the main draw, with warm water, indoor and outdoor options, plus a water park that kids and adults can enjoy. The grounds are spacious and well kept, and the spa is worth checking out along with the pools at different temperatures. There are varied food options too. Recantos Cataratas Thermas Resort & Convention feels like a destination of its own, with comfort and leisure close to the sights of Foz do Iguaçu. I’d recommend it to couples looking to unwind or families wanting activities, and felt it was worth the money.

The facilities are incredible, especially if you have kids, with lots of activities and lifeguards at every pool. All the employees were kind and ready to help. We had one of our best stays and can’t wait to come back.
