Visk Palace Hotel e Restaurante

For one night, the low price makes it a 10 out of 10, and the Wi-Fi was better than at my house. That's about it, though. There's nothing luxurious here, and no amenities or real comforts. The staff stood out for being friendly and efficient. The hotel itself is basic, old, outdated, and clean. The single-bed mattresses were very worn, and there were only tiny towels, no bath towels. Its roadside location is great if you have a car, halfway between downtown and Iguazu Falls National Park. Breakfast offered assorted sweets, but the poor presentation made them unappealing.

The staff member eventually said there was no milk to restock the breakfast, which was already very basic. There were about four kinds of store-bought cakes, the artificial sort. The service was excellent, but that's where the praise ends. From outside and at reception the hotel looks inviting, while inside it feels poorly cared for. The double room was tiny and seemed dirty, although the floor was clean. The windows and curtains were dirty, and the bathroom was very rusty. The old air conditioner did work well. It's next to the fire station, so ambulance sirens at night sound like they're inside the room. Some guests also made plenty of noise in the hallway. If all you need is somewhere to sleep and you don't care about luxury or appearances, it's a decent option.

The worst part was the employee or manager's attitude. They were extremely disrespectful, looking at me with mockery and indifference and saying nothing could be done. I paid for five nights, stayed only one, and couldn't get a refund. I left anyway because staying there was impossible. The room was dirty, the bathroom smelled awful, and there was a dripping leak noise. There were only two outlets, both unreliable, and an electrical failure damaged my computer. A terrible experience, one of the worst I've had while traveling. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

It's conveniently located for going to Paraguay, but the hotel is in poor shape. The rooms are old and neglected, and the bedding was worn and smelled bad. Breakfast was very weak too, with few choices and poor quality. I hope I don't have to stay there again because I ran out of last-minute options.
