This incredible peninsula is a wonderful place to spend a holiday. The scenery stretches for miles along the coast beyond the town of Galinhos, and in winter the sun sets over the sea. I recommend it to everyone, especially people with 4x4 vehicles who can explore and enjoy even more of this oasis.

It's a very small, unusual little town, and most of the streets are sandy. The inns are simple but cozy, with service that feels almost like family. The beaches are great, and it's a peaceful place to get away from the bustle of big cities. The main local attraction is a short cart ride to praia do farol to watch the sunset.

This village has few tourists and still has some sandy streets. You can get there by boat, which leaves frequently, or in a 4x4. The water is green and crystal clear, well worth seeing. Visitors leave their vehicles in a municipal parking lot, since vehicles don't cross over.

This is my family's favorite place when we want to relax. The owners are so attentive and loving, and breakfast is more than perfect. We love everything.
