Kanaxuê is clean, well kept, centrally located, climate controlled, and inexpensive. It isn’t a resort, but for what you pay, three stars seems fair. In Goiânia, you’ll find European-style hotels on Av. Republica Libano, as well as Brazilian hotels in smaller districts around the city. This one is central, near Umurama and another hotel that looks like a Holiday Inn. The area is a supply district serving little lunch counters with fresh oranges and snacks. There are workers’ lunch cafés and a few restaurants open later, but most places wind down around 6 pm once the caldo vendors leave. At Brazilian hotels like this, there are local guest rooms and suites. I’d choose at least a casal suite at Kanaxuê. For a small price difference, you get a higher floor, a bigger bed, and a living room with two twin beds and room to spread out your things. Check that the wifi works and the air conditioning runs before unpacking. For entertainment, ask the desk to call you a taxi.

It's very simple and old, though clean and a bit bucolic. I wouldn’t call it a three-star hotel.

All good.

I stayed there in Nov/Dec 2006 and Jan 2007. The employees, reception, breakfast, facilities, room service, and location were all excellent. Congratulations 👏👏👏
