Oft Neve's Hotel

The daily rate is affordable, and having a restaurant nearby saved me time. The breakfast was very complete and worked with my diet, since they had fruit and gelatin. My room was tidy, comfortable, quiet, and had a nice hot shower, plus air conditioning and a minibar. The TV is small, though I hardly ever use it when I travel. Parking is first come, first served. Every time I've stayed, my car had to spend the night outside, though they always say Goiânia is very quiet.

We were surprised by how good breakfast was, everything fresh and really good quality. Parking was free, and the reception team were attentive. They quickly brought us another blanket when we asked, and lent us a Mondial hair dryer. The room was clean and smelled nice when we arrived. Both the bedroom and bathroom had large windows, so the room stayed airy. The air conditioning worked, and there was a roomy closet for our clothes. My friends and I really enjoyed our stay, and I'll definitely come back.

The housekeepers are the bright spot here. They're kind, attentive, and helpful. Honestly, the hotel seemed much better cared for before it became part of the OFT network. I've stayed at Neve's for a long time, and it has always been my first choice in Goiânia for the value and location. But this last visit was unpleasant. They first sent me to a dirty room with towels scattered around. The blonde receptionist with glasses wouldn't even answer a greeting and was unhelpful, which has happened before. On a later stay, one apartment had a TV that never worked, even after I complained. The coffee machine at reception was out of water, although the receptionist wasn't busy.

The location is great, but I was really disappointed by the booking system and the condition of the room. I arranged the reservation directly with them over WhatsApp and planned to pay by credit card. They sent a link to pay through their website. I entered my card details, followed the instructions, got a payment confirmation, and was told the reservation receipt would arrive by email. I sent the booking confirmation back in the WhatsApp conversation, so I thought everything was sorted. When I arrived in Goiânia for a short event trip, the front desk had me fill out a form and then asked for proof of the reservation. Their system showed it as unpaid. I checked my card and Pix records, but there was no payment receipt. I had to come up with money I hadn't planned to spend. The attendant said the website had been doing this for a while: it goes through the booking steps and says the payment went through, but it doesn't actually process it. How can a local hotel chain with four or five hotels in the area let this broken system keep running? This was such an unnecessary, embarrassing mess, especially since my trip wasn't planned with spare money in mind. The room had its own problems. The cabinets were old and falling apart at the sides, and the TV was like a tiny 17-inch monitor mounted so high that the picture went black when I tried watching from bed. The bathroom bulbs were burned out. I told the attendant, but they couldn't fix them until the next day, so I had to shower in the dark. After getting back from the event in the early hours, I tried to shower again, but the water never got hot, even after I left it running on the hot setting for about 20 minutes.
