Hotel Colline de France

The hotel's even more striking in person than it looks in the photos, but what really stayed with us was the service. The staff were attentive from arrival through checkout, and even offered to pick us up when we took the free bicycles out and the rain started. I can't imagine getting that kind of care at another hotel. A big thank you to Marcio, Joao, and the whole team for a wonderful stay.

We've stayed at many of Brazil's and the United States' best hotels, and Colline de France is still in a class of its own for us. The hotel is beautiful, the location is amazing, and the staff are polite and professional. We felt treated like royalty and highly recommend it. Thank you, Colline de France. A quiet street well away from the center of Gramado, and a hotel that looked just as good in person as in the photos. Our room price included a small welcome bottle of champagne, sweet and savory snacks, Loccitaine toiletries, and a huge hydro-massage bathtub. Everything was sparkling clean, and the staff were kind and so helpful. It felt perfect in every way.

We went to Gramado for a week in May, when the weather was pleasant and humidity low. The streets were busy enough to keep things interesting without feeling too crowded. If you aren't after a beach holiday in the sun, it felt like a great time and place to visit Brazil. I was there to relax and enjoy a little luxury. It was my wife's idea to make my birthday special with a week in Brazil. After a couple of difficult years, we wanted to be present for the good moments. Since it was our first visit, we did a lot of research before choosing Gramado, a small city in Rio Grande do Sul. The reviews still didn't prepare us for how exceptional the service would be. The town is beautiful, almost like a dream destination, and I think it's worth setting aside a day for a photo shoot to capture it, even if finding a spot in a public place can be tricky. Hotel Colline de France is about two hours from Porto Alegre International Airport. After a long flight, I'd recommend ground transport, which cost us around $90.00 each way. We stayed in the Imperial Noir, a suite on the top floor. The décor was exquisite. My wife had arranged rose petals, champagne, and sweets. The hotel is about ten minutes from the attractions and shopping district, so renting a car could be useful if you want to get around freely. I came to Gramado Brazil to celebrate an extravagant birthday, and ended up doing even more. After months of planning, I proposed to my wife of 14 years again in the garden. I couldn't have chosen a better place. The staff at Hotel Colline de France are sincere and caring, which isn't something you come across often. Everyone made us feel at home and special.
