Sadly, our stay at the Wyndham Resort Termal in Gramado was disappointing, with poor service from the start. There was a moldy curtain in our room, and my son got it all over his face and clothes. The hotel didn't offer compensation or even the simple courtesy of washing the clothes that were affected. During our stay, my daughter's stuffed animal went missing from the room, probably with the bedding. They couldn't find it and showed no empathy or offered any solution. The staff's approach generally felt impersonal. We also had trouble because there weren't enough employees who could communicate properly in Spanish. For a hotel in this category, we expected much better service.

We spent two nights at the hotel. I was in Gramado for something that left me little time to try the spa or pools, so I can't really comment on those. The food at breakfast was very good, but the room was chaotic. Its layout seemed to make things worse, with items placed in a way that had people going back and forth for food and drinks. The noise added to the stressful feel, and Brazilians can be pretty loud too. So, good food in an uncomfortable setting. Service was good overall, and the front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms are fairly new and well maintained. For two of us, the size was about right, though the double bed was quite small. It was comfortable, with plenty of pillows, but the sound insulation was poor. We could hear children running in the corridor and cars in the parking lot as if they were in the room. The mini fridge was loud too, especially since it was right in front of the bed. The location was the biggest drawback. It's far from town, which can make it hard to find a taxi or Uber after midnight. There's no special view of valleys or hills, just woods. Given the same circumstances, a short stay with little time at the hotel, and limited availability elsewhere, I'd choose another place. Otherwise, it could be a good option.

Please save yourself the trouble and don't stay here. The rooms are small and dirty, the hotel itself is dirty, and it's a bit far from town. The food and drinks aren't good either. Our AC didn't work for the whole stay, and the managers seemed not to care. The lobby smelled strongly of chlorine from the pool below. Because of a hotel error, my family was locked out of our rooms. We left early, and didn't hear a single apology until we were on our way out. This place has no hospitality at all. Don't spend your money here, go somewhere else.

My family and I stayed for four days over Natal and had a great time. The pools and gym were excellent, and the breakfast was among the best we had in Brazil. The employees were friendly, and the cleaning staff were top notch. I'm taking off a star for the location, about 10 minutes outside town. Next time, I might stay at one of the many hotels in town.

For Wyndham owners coming from America, be aware this felt like a hotel, not the resort we were told to expect. The rooms are small, and there isn't even an iron. You have to use valet parking run by a third party, and pay each day before you can get your car back. Reception was miserable. They didn't show us around or give directions to the room or amenities, and they don't have a map. They just hand over the cards and smile. The employees didn't seem trained in customer service. One woman nearly hit me with her mop as I walked by. I had to jump out of her way, and she carried on without missing a beat, hahaha. At the bar, you pay each time you order, and the restaurant works the same way. There's no system to add things to your room, so bring your wallet everywhere. I was surprised the pools and gym were included. The pool, cinema, gym, and sauna are in good condition, but they're always crowded and loud. Don't come expecting to relax in the mountains, because your room may be the only place you can unwind. It's 10 minutes from downtown, which wasn't a bad drive for me, and an Uber is very cheap. This was my first and last time here. I'd rather be in Tennessee a million times.
