Our stay at Pousada Aquarela was meant to be just one night in Guamare, but we enjoyed the owners so much that we stayed for ten nights. By the end, we really felt like family. Francisco, Maria, Ana, Seisa and Joya-Elma kept the rooms and shared areas clean and comfortable, were always there when we needed help, and gave us great recommendations. They were such wonderful hosts. On our final evening, we even had dinner with them at a local restaurant. They put so much care into making the stay a good experience, and I highly recommend Pousada Aquarela in beautiful Guamare.

It’s a pleasant place, and I’d recommend it. The breakfast is simple but tasty, and there’s parking. The rooms are spacious and clean, with air conditioning, towels and bed linens, though toiletries like soap aren’t included. It’s not close enough to walk into town for a meal, but some places deliver there.

The owner, Sr. Assis, gives excellent service. Though it’s some distance from the center, the place wins you over with its simple charm and attentive service. It’s a peaceful pousada, with hammocks under the trees, cool breezes and birdsong that make it easy to rest and feel close to nature.
